National Passport Center 125 – 150 New Jobs
With the planned 26,000 square food addition to the National Passport Center in Pease, an estimated 125 to 150 new jobs will be created. The National Passport Center currently employs almost 25% of the entire passport workforce in the US and does about 40% of the work.
Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital 90 New Jobs
The Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital has agreed to a fifty year lease to construct a new $16 million dollar facility. This will be the hospital’s 3rd Acute Rehabilitation Hospital. The new facility, scheduled to break ground in February, would create approximately 90 jobs.
Even in the recession, Pease International Tradeport still clings to 7,000 workers which makes Pease pretty recession proof.
