US Census Bureau Jobs Provide College Cash And Even High School Jobs For Students (18 and older)

Make no mistake about it: college jobs are scarce with many schools having cut back on hiring. Notably, quite a few businesses in the vicinity of even well trafficked college campuses are struggling, curtailing hours and keeping staff thin.

With fewer jobs to come by, cash strapped college students have to scramble for work, with some students desperate in their search to make enough money to help pay for their education.

The Census Bureau offers both part time jobs as well as full time census worker jobs and is something to consider for College Students. Census work can also offer great high school jobs for students providing they are 18 years of age and older.

One area where jobs will soon be plentiful is with the US Census Bureau. Beginning early next year, the federal government will be conducting its decennial census which means armies of temporary employees will be sent out to ensure that more than 307 million Americans are counted. Many temporary workers have been hired and are already on the job while others are still needed.

The US Census Bureau operates its National Processing Center (NPC) in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has a pair of call centers located in Tucson, AZ and Hagerstown, MD. In addition, the bureau has regional offices located in Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Kansas City, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia and Seattle.

When all is said and done the Census Bureau will have hired hundreds of thousands of temporary workers to fill a variety of positions across the country for the 2010 census. Prospective workers can apply today to earn competitive weekly pay, work flexible hours as well as serve their communities.
